Happy Thanksgiving, I hope you all had a wonderful day full of family and friends. Or not if that makes you happy, hehehe.
Hubby had to work today so we will be celebrating with my parents tomorrow. Hubby visited his mom today at the recovery center before heading into work. It looks like she will be there for about three weeks, luckily it is on his way to work so it makes it a bit easier for him to visit daily.

I know, I missed 3 days, but I went 14 before the lapse and that’s pretty good for me. Life has been life, Hubby had a b’day, MIL was back in the hospital (she is in a rehab center now, again), my parents got back from a road trip across country, and we finally bought a new dishwasher. See, life.
On the knitting front I am almost done with the vest, ribbing on one armhole left to go. Saturday I spent 2 hours knitting the ribbing on the other armhole, I cannot count to two apparently and had to keep tinking back the k2p2 ribbing. Did I mention that the stitches had already been picked up, all I had to do was knit the ribbing, six rows, pathetic.
Tonight I cast-on some socks for Bug. The yarn was purchased from Emma at DragonFibers, and the colorway is called Eight Nights. After casting on and knitting a couple of inches it seemed that the sock was too big. Since Bug was asleep I couldn’t check, or could I? Now if I were a bad mother I would go into her room with a measuring tape and measure her long skinny feet while she slept, with the possibility of waking her from a sound sleep. Yeah, okay, I’m a bad mother. And, yes, I do need to rip out the sock and cast on fewer stitches, oh well.

This evening I didn’t knit and I didn’t spin, I sat and picked and flicked a fleece I bought at OFFF. Very therapeutic, except when I clawed my finger with the flicker a couple of times. Apparently I am a slow learner. Even though I worked on the fleece for a couple of hours the bag of fleece still needing to be picked looks no smaller. Looks like pick a little, spin a little, pick a little more, will be the plan of action on this one.
I’m still trying to decide if I want to spin the finn in the grease, it’s quite clean, and so soft.
The Unoriginal Hat is finally dry so pictures tomorrow. Yes, Aunt left today, will have to mail it to her. Lesson learned, don’t wet block when it’s cold and wet when you need it done the next day. Doh!

Just under the wire, four minutes to go. After I put the kids to bed I started cleaning the refrigerator, there is a mystery smell. Blech! Okay, I’ve posted, back to the trenches.
