First a FO . . .
the Suicide Socks

pattern: International Sock of Doom
yarn: Cascade 220 Superwash
needles: Clover Bamboo US5
cast on: October 8th cast off: October 18thÂÂ
notes: I really love this pattern, especially for house socks.  They didn’t really take that long to knit, they were put aside for some other knitting. I have another ball of Cascade 220 Superwash in my stash and I think it will end up being another pair of Suicide Socks, but I will go down a needle size for a bit snugger fit.
I was also able to finish the first Fancy Sock. See that little piece of yarn nect to the sock? That is all that was left of the ball, less than one yard. Eeep! Now, on to the second one.

The Suicide Socks are lovely!! Gosh, I really hope that the second skein isn’t shorter than the first…
Shhhhh . . . . lalalalala! That could not be possible. lalalalalala!
Great socks!!!
That is my biggest fear….running out of yarn for a sock…that would suck a tad.
Purple is GOOOOD
At least you had a little bit of yarn left over for the Gentlemans Socks as I had to go into a second 100 gm skein for my husbands huge feet! Both of you socks look fabulous! Great job!
http://www.thesage.com/calcs/lyecalc2.php is the link I was thinking of when you were talking about making your own soap. It calculates the amount of Lye and water you need for the oils your using. Most soap makers I know use it.
Also, I have ..something like..30 soap molds and a woodbox mold. If you need to use it. I’m leaving this here on your blog cuz I can’t seem to find your email!! :)
Hugs
I really love your socks, both of them actually - and gosh, this was really a close call with the yarn for the Fancy one! But after all, you didn’t run out of it, and the socks are amazing! Great job!
I love your sucide socks! I have made several pairs of socks with the cascade 220 superwash yarn and they feel even softer after washing and drying. Quite durable that yarn is.
Purple Suicide Socks - gorgeous! The Cascade 220 sure does look nice knit in that pattern; it shows up so well.
And don’t you just feel so clever when you gauge the yarn so closely? I always end up getting so nervous, and like my mom says, I knit faster so I can finish before the yarn runs out.
Great job on the socks!
Love your Socks of Doom! Great color. Man, that was cutting it close on that other sock!
