Happy Birthday +1

Just the picture of that spider is enough to make my skin creep. Good to know what it is, I have seen a few in Mountlake Terrace and thought they looked a lot like Black Widows, but smaller and without the hourglass.

Would your husband come to my house and escort them outside? I feel bad about the squishing.

Hi, I came here via the Swallowtail KAL. I'm also making the Swallowtail shawl.
I've made the Lotus Blossom shawl, and I have to say, the pattern is very well written and the charts are nice and big (you won't go blind staring at it!). But, I've seen an Icarus shawl, and oh, it was so lovely! I like that it had more layers of the "lotus flower"-like lace pattern at the bottom edges. The Lotus Blossom shawl only has one.

Happy Birthday!!! Sorry I'm late sending you wishes. Yuck spiders!! I wouldn't be going to visit either. And the pink cabley knitting looks great, glad you didn't give up on it.
