Bug has finished another hat. This one will be for the Dulaan Project.
details: This hat is knit with two strands of Cascade 220, in white and pink, on the red KniftyKnitter loom. It has a brim, which is doubled for extra warmth. I think this will fit an infant to toddler, it has quite a bit of stretch to it.
Oh, I just had to share Bug’s outfit.
Yes, that would be a sundress, with a dress-up ’ballerina skirt’ over the top and pink cowboy boots. The girl has a style all her own.
August will be a full month for us, tho, maybe not as full as July was, come to think of it. Hubby, will be on vacation for two weeks and we will spend one week of it at the coast. The kids will have swimming lessons everyday for two weeks. Bug keeps asking about ballet lessons, and I need to look into tumbling/gymnastics for Bubba before he breaks his neck standing on his head and doing semi-summersaults.
As for Project Spectrum, I have been comtemplating what I will be knitting. August is neutral colors. I’m not much of a neutral color gal, but, as I went thru my stash I had more neutral yarn than I had thought.
Some of the yarns were a bit of a stretch, neutrals with other colors, like socks yarns that are mostly brown/tan with blue mixed in, or mostly grey/black with blue.
Possible projects for August Project Spectrum knitting:
- seam up and finish ribbing Bug’s sweater - white
- Crosspatch for Dulaan Project - grey & green
- MDBD - what’s a month without a dishcloth
- to get a head start on the holiday knitting:
socks for BIL - brown - elann Esprit, coffee bean
socks for other BIL - grey - elann Esprit, charcoal
We Call Them Pirates for Hubby - grey & ?

Other projects in the queue:
I think I will start doing these lists around the first of each month, can’t hurt to keep track.
This is my last Project Spectrum project for July. I will miss July, I love purple.
pattern: Fetching
yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran (2 balls, lots left over)
needles: Clover Bamboo US6&7
cast on: July 30th cast off:  August 1st
notes: I like these mitts and they would be a nice, quick gift to knit up. I do like the picot bind off but nect time I will use a smaller needle to do the cast off as they are a bit loose at the bind off edge. I cast on and knit the wrist cables with size 7, changed to size 6 for the rest. If I make another pair I think I will add a bit of shaping to the thumb and if they are for me I may add a few purls at the beginning then decreasing after the cables.
