It looks like we have a pair of bald eagles nesting in a tree in our neighbor’s yard, across the street. Hubby and I were chatting before the kids woke up last friday, when he suddenly lept to the window, “There’s a bald eagle in L’s yard!” I looked out and sure enough there he was eating a possum, then his mate flew in to share in the feast. I was able to get a picture, but it’s not very good as it was overcast so the light was quite low and a flash would have been useless at that distance.
Hubby is pretty sure the pair is nesting in one of the trees in the neighbor’s yard, he saw them flying in and out of the tree all day. I’ll have to keep an eye out.

I was surfing the blogs and came upon some buttons for those who made it all the way thru the Stashalong. I did not make it, I went down in flames and ended up with quite a Stashlash. For those of us who flamed out I dedicate this button:
If you also gave in to yarn yearnings, feel free to add the button to your blog. Please, save it to your own server.
WARNING: This post contains actual knitting content.

Pattern: Lacey Round - mid-March KAL at the Monthly Dishcloth
Yarn: Lion Cotton
Needles: Clover Bamboo US6
Start/Finish: Mar/Apr
Notes:  I made the green one first then made another in yellow because I thought it would look like a sunshine. =) The yellow cloth used a provisional cast-on and a three needle bind-off.ÂÂ
Here is the start of my pinwheel blanket (started Apr 4th). Since it has so many colors in it I figure I when I finish I’ll add a border in what ever Project Spectrum color is current. Clear as mud? ÂÂ
Like the basket? I found it Trader Joe’s on clearance . . . woohoo . . . I’m planning on making a cloth liner for it too. I have a weakness for baskets, especially if they’re cheap.

. . . the pity party, that is.
Frack ‘em! No baby knitting here, at least for them.  I’ll spend a few dollars and get them a token gift, and if I am invited to the ‘family baby shower’ I’ll be so sorry that I already had plans and, gee, we just can’t change them.
If the furniture isn’t picked up by the end of the month I’ll list it on Craigs List and I think I’m just gonna list the clothes on e-bay, unless there is anyone out there who is preggo or just had a baby that needs them. If so just leave a comment and I’ll e-mail you.ÂÂ
I’ve been knitting, but I’m not enjoying it. Ok, that’s not exactly true, I enjoy the knitting when I finally start it but it’s the lack of motivation to actully knit that I’m not enjoying. It’s the time change, I’m sure of it. It always messes with my body clock. I am not a morning person to start with but waking up an hour earlier is not my idea of a good time. It will take a bit of time for my body to adjust, until then I’ll be drinking lots of coffee. This is where I keep my yarn stash, in a large steamer trunk at the end of my bed. WIPs are usually in baskets around the house, but I also keep UFOs in the trunk. To see more detailed pictures of my stash just click on the photo above.
Besides being Flash Your Stash day is is also the beginning of Use What You Have month. I am excited about UWYH since I have had a bit of a “stashlash” since I left the Stashalong, and maybe I’ll use some of my fabric stash, too.
