This bag is the “Large Duffle Bag” from the book  “Easy to Make Totes with Zippers” by Cindy Taylor Oats of Taylor Made Designs.

manly man

Dad saw the checkbook covers and asked me to make him one too . . . only a ‘manly’ one . . . no flowers or poke-a-dots . . . so I made it from some blue and green homespun I had in my stash.

Here is a picture of some of the ones I have finished.

check please

Made checkbook cover and tissue holder to match Lynda’s purse . . . then made 6 more tissue covers . . . and 3 more checkbook covers with matching tissue covers . . . They go together so quickly, I just love making them and they will be great holiday gifts.

I fiddled with the measurements a bit and added a strap to hold the used pages of the register, now I am very happy with the checkbook covers.

baby quilt

Made as a baby gift for a co-worker.  I ended up making the top twice. I was not completely pleased with the color contrast when I finished the first top  so I decided to donate the top to Project Linus and made a second one for the baby gift.

I machine quilted it with variegated thread and pieced the binding from left over fabrics from the top.

quilted purse

This purse was made for a friend who was going to purchase one of those expensive quilted bags.  I offered to make it if she bought the fabric . . . now I need to make one for myself.
